FCDA Announces Hiring of New Business Retention/Expansion Manager
Fayette County Development Authority President/CEO Matt Forshee today announced the hiring of Mr. Chris Daniel as the new Business Retention & Expansion Manager. In this position, Mr. Daniel will be working primarily with businesses in Peachtree City under a $75,000 funding contract approved in April by the Peachtree City City Council.
“We received over 45 applications for this position and many of those were very highly qualified,” said Mr. Forshee. “We think we lucked out getting Chris onboard. He has a diverse business background in sales, marketing, operations management and real estate and has experience in leadership positions in large corporate operations and in small business situations. He will easily be able to relate with everyone from CEOs to Entrepreneurs.”
Mr. Daniel will be working on helping existing businesses grow and maintain their operations base in Peachtree City by focusing on opportunities for networking, shared training, supplier assistance, trade assistance, innovation and other expansion and retention programs.
“I’m excited to be joining such an important organization. The growth of our existing business base is the 21st century model for our community’s economic prosperity. I look forward to quickly reaching out to our existing businesses and industries to help identify opportunities where Peachtree City and FCDA can effect positive change. The more competitive our businesses are, the better their prospects for growth.”
Originally from South Carolina, Mr. Daniel, his wife Amy and their children have lived in Fayette County for 15 years.
