Randy Hayes

Chairman

Randy Hayes is the President of Hayes Development Corp., a real estate development firm he founded in 1985. As a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Hayes has guided his company to become a leader in the areas of multi-family housing, single-family dwellings, and residential neighborhoods across the United States.

Randy is a member of the mid West Georgia Home Builders Association and was President and Builder of the year in 1997 and 1998. He is a Board member of the Georgia Homebuilders Association and national board member of the National Association of Home Builders.

Along with a very successful business, Randy has been active in local politics and civic life in Fayette County where he and wife Anne, and sons John and Preston have resided since 1975.

Randy has served as the Chairman of the Fayette County Development Authority since 1995. He was selected the “Business Person of the Year” in 1997 by the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of the Fayette County Community Foundation.

He served as President of the Flint River Council of the Boy Scouts of America from 1998 to 2000 and where he still serves on the Executive Committee.

He is the Chairman of the Griffin Technical College Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Fayette County Higher Education Center operated by Clayton State University. He is a member of the Clayton State University Board of Trustees. Randy is also Co-Chair of the Atlanta Region Workforce Development Board and has been a regular participant of the ARC’s LINK trips.
