Lifetime resident of Metro–Atlanta; Fayette County citizen since 1987

After attending college at Georgia State University, I became involved in the construction industry until 1984 when I joined the Prudential Insurance Company of America as a life insurance agent.

Following a successful career in sales and management with Prudential, I had the opportunity to buy a local independent insurance agency which was established in 1962. This agency became known as The Complete Insurance Source and employs fifteen people serving the insurance needs of families and businesses, primarily located in South Metro Atlanta.

Married to Bonnie McDaniel Smelley, we live in south Fayette County. Our youngest daughter is a Junior at Georgia Tech and we have two married children and three beautiful grandchildren.
