The City of Peachtree City owns and operates two Wastewater Treatment Facilities to handle the waste stream of approximately 10,000 customers. The combined treatment capacity of these two facilities is 6 million gallons per day (6 MGD), with a daily usage of around 3.3 MGD. With a 15% buffer, there is 1.8 MGD of available capacity.
The City of Fayetteville owns and operates one Wastewater Treatment Facilities to handle the waste stream of approximately 7,500 customers. The treatment capacity of the facility is 5 million gallons per day (5 MGD), with a daily usage of around 2.4 MGD, there is approximately 2.6 MGD available capacity.
The Fayette County Water System has a total production capacity of 22.8 million gallons per day (MGD). This capacity includes the 13.5 MGD at the Crosstown Water Plant and 9.3 MGD from the South Fayette Water Plant. The City of Atlanta has also allocated 4.0 MGD to Fayette County.
The System currently has four raw water storage reservoirs: Lake Kedron, Lake Peachtree, Lake Horton, and Lake McIntosh. The Water System includes more than 620 miles of water lines in various diameters. For more information, see Fayette County Water System.

Two main providers service Fayette County with competitive and reliable energy: Georgia EMC and Georgia Power.
Natural Gas
Natural gas deregulation has increased consumer choices. Georgia consumers now have the option of receiving natural gas service from certificated marketers.
The Fayette County Water System provides water for the county. For business and commercial accounts, there is a minimum bill of $18.48 for the first 2,000 gallons; $3.23 per 1,000 gallons thereafter for ¾” meter. Larger meters have a base rate, plus $3.23 per 1,000 gallons used.
The Peachtree City provides sewer service to Peachtree City customers. The rates for Industrial, Commercial and Multi-Family are $26.00 base bill, plus $6.15 per 1,000 gallons of metered water.
The City of Fayetteville provides sewer service to Fayetteville Customers. Commercial sewer has a minimum bill of $32.10 for 0 gallons to 2,000 gallons of metered water used each month and $3.27 for each additional 1,000 gallons of metered water used.
Fayette County is served by Georgia Power and Coweta-Fayette Electric Membership Corporation. Customers with manufacturing or commercial loads of 900 kW or greater have a one-time choice in their electric supplier.
